Like it or not, every Kashmiri is an Indian and had Hindu Ancestors. No Indian state is more important than the other. AFSPA is there with a reason. The reason is to keep peace.
Kashmiri Muslims need more education and should try living atleast 3 years of their lives in other cities like Mumbai, Delhi and Bangalore. You will be proud of the Freedom of being Indian. You will realize that you are not really different from other Indian brothers and sisters.
If Kashmir becomes an Islamic Country, it will destroy Kashmiris. Women will be veiled and it is a matter of seconds before Talibanization of it will start.
Kashmir is a land created by Rishi Kashyap. Thats how it gets its name. We have lots of commonality and lots of common heritage, whether you like it or not.
Dear Vijay,
Although the “integral part” theory must be substantiated by actions before making the claim, but forget it.
Tell me something, are you saying that Pakistani Hindus are not Pakistani? And that Nepali Hindus are not Nepali? And Bangladeshi hindus are not Bangladeshi? And American Hindus are not American? Are you saying that all of them are “Indian” because they are Hindu?
Kashmiris are spread all over the world. And it takes a well-read, well-travelled and enlightened mind to speak about rights and self-determination. Kashmiri youth are doing that very well.
As for your Talibanization argument, I don’t know where you get that from.
Excellent blog Shehla. Good flawless English. Keep the flow of writing more and more.
All the best.
